Pictured to the left is Max Gunyon (picture made cover of local newspaper on July 22, 2000) who along with Curt Day, revived the Clinton County Horseshoe Pitchers' Association  for a new generation of pitchers - young and old.  Clinton County Horseshoe Pitchers Association went "dormant" sometime around 1995.  In its prime, Max said there were 100 members.  Max got up to about 60% ringers in his peak pitching years.  In 2000, Max Gunyon was 80 years old.
